 Performance Assessment
The process of measuring performance against a set of standards through examination, practical test, performance observation, and/or the completion of portfolios of work and assignments.
 Person

 Placement
The designation given regarding the education and/or employment status of a student who completes a program or course.
 Positive Placement
A unit of measurement that represents the number of students placed (military + employed related + employed non-related + continuing education) divided by the total number of known program and course completers.
 Postsecondary Education
An instructional program whose curriculum is designed for students who are beyond the compulsory age for high school.
 Postsecondary Tech Prep Student
Student who has completed a secondary education component of a Tech Prep program and has enrolled in the postsecondary education component of a Tech Prep program at an institution of higher education.
 Postsecondary education Tech Prep student
A student who has completed the secondary education component of a Tech Prep program, and has enrolled in the postsecondary education component of a Tech Prep program at an institution of higher education. (Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006)
 Postsecondary/Adult Student
A student who is no longer enrolled in a comprehensive school system or its equivalent and is enrolled in a CTE program or course. Students beyond the compulsory age for high school who are enrolled in an educational program.
 Pre-Employment Training
Preparation in interviewing techniques, writing resumes, letters of application, follow-up letters, listening techniques, and learning-to-learn skills.
 Preparatory Services
Activities required for preparing students in Grades 7-14 and special populations to enter and successfully complete the 2+2 Tech Prep   program. Such activities may include career advisement, development of a six-year plan of study, and career assessment when such activities are not being provided by another entity or funding source.
