Leadership and Development Programs

As our system continues to experience changes in key administrative positions both in the field and the department, we need to continue preparing a cadre of individuals to have a better understanding of our system and to have an interest in leadership and administrative positions in our statewide CareerTech system. The Oklahoma Department of CareerTech is committed to providing quality leadership development.

Technology Center Administration Program (TechCAP)

The purpose of the Technology Center Administration Program is to provide an in-depth look into specific technology center administrator related tasks. Although participation in the Leadership CareerTech (LCT) program is not a prerequisite for participation in the Technology Center Administrator program, participants may benefit from prior LCT participation. Participation in TechCAP is considered a capstone experience.

Leadership CareerTech

*** WATCH FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE NEXT LCT CLASS DURING THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER, 2009***Leadership CareerTech is designed for CareerTech educators with leadership characteristics who are interested in pursuing a leadership role in career and technology education. The program develops the knowledge of CareerTech educators in specific areas related to the Administrator Development Competencies and enhances leadership skills.

CareerTech University

CTU is the annual training for CareerTech Student Organization state officers. It is an intense 3-day training designed to prepare state officers for their role to serve the Oklahoma's CTSO members.
